Wow, fancy. Surface parking lots in downtown can't last forever...

Very impressive. I'm jealous.

Does anyone know if there will be street-level retail space?

I'm concerned for the survival of The Ironworks BBQ.

Somethings got to go to make way for progress, so I keep hearing on CD. Maybe it won't disappear. Maybe it will be swallowed up by another skyscraper or just relocated inside of one.

Hey, traditional eateries don't count for diddley if a developer wants to build something huge downtown. Just ask Las Manitas.

Iron Works will be there forever. This plus the Waller Creek project will be great for it. Not that it needs any help, it always seems busy.

It is always funny how all the NIMBYs come out to protect those service parking lots all over Austin. Can never have enough parking for all Austin's big gas guzzling trucks!

Bite your tongue! Pretty near every time that's said about an Austin institution, it's promptly proven to be inaccurate in the face of bigger buildings.

This is great for Austin. I can't wait to see Waller Creek developed. Just wish it was breaking ground sooner, that parking lot is such an eyesore.
The JW Marriott at 2nd and congress should be breaking ground sometime next month, so we have that to look forward to as well.
