Bumping up this thread to ask if anyone knows what's going on at the former 'rainbow' HEB up at Lake Creek and Research south? Any other interesting news of note?

Well, of course, Sam's is open now and the traffic effects are just beginning. The exit from 183 NB to Lakeline Mall Blvd will get worse and worse, I'm afraid, as Sam's builds its customer base. Tons of apartments going in along there, fronting 620 WB and Lake Creek Blvd. MUCH construction around the Lakeline Train Station, including townhomes 'From the 200s' located essentially IN the parking lot of the station.

The burned out Denny's has finally been razed...not sure what will replace it and a new foundation is being prepared on the last empty space just a bit north on that frontage road.

I would still think a Trader Joe's would make a killing in either the vacant Sports Authority or BedBathBeyond spots across from Home Depot/Kohl's...but they didn't ask me!

That former HEB space you asked about will have to be something pretty interesting to get me to go there. We visited Jamr'z a couple of times before it closed; but I've never been to another business in that center(OK..the Mexican place many years ago...once).

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Do what everywhere else does?

This frontage-thingy here takes some getting used to. The whole cluster-f at 620/45/183 still turns me around (though I'm getting better at it). I still get terribly turned around in the Lakeline/Lake Creek area.
