Firstly, if there is another pizza thread feel free to merge but a search didn't pop up with any results for "pizza" in the forum.

I'm looking for a fun, semi casual pizza that has an Austin vibe but not too hip (vegan, fancy names, long waits, walking miles from parking). somewhere where you can grab a beer (maybe a local beer or two) and pick a random unhealthy topping or a few without asking the waiter what the heck the choices are. Does anyone have any ideas? Or if not what are some of your faves that might be a bit more on the trendy side?

TIA!

buffalinas is new to north burnet havent tried it yet. It is a little upscale. Do a google search for pizza on the forum instead of a forum search

I feel like we talk about pizza almost every other week.

For pizza-pizza, straight up, not trendy, multiple locations, with beer, I like Austin's Pizza.

For trendier, wood-fired pizza that is flat out delicious, I love 40 (degrees) North.

I also like Austin's for straight up, better than the chains pizza. And their pepperoni rolls.

For wood-fired Neopilitan, I really like ARoma, especially the prosciutto and arugula.

ABGB also makes a great pizza.

For New York style, it's trendy but Home Slice is pretty darn good. And it smells right inside.

Don't know where good Chicago style is, but Via 313 is good Detroit style which I guess is similar.

Special mention to Rockin Tomato and Double Daves for pizza place ambiance, with pool and video games, salad bar etc.

Home Slice is one of the only places I consider to be pizza in central Texas.

Gino's East is very good for Chicago Style.

Now that you say it I remember a thread being derailed by conversation on pizza recently, but I don't remember where that was.

I will have to try Austin's pizza. We went to 360 pizza off of 2222 and 360. It was so-so. Not sure if I'd make the drive out there for it. I wasn't feeling the drive to home slice, but it sounds like we will have to try it. 👍🏼

ABGB is pretty good, has a nice beer selection and a chill vibe. The sauce was seriously lacking seasoning(salt) last time I tried it but its not bad.

East Side Pies has several locations and one might be closer to you. People seem to really like them and they have various combos from basic to hipster. Not sure about the beer though.

Little Deli in Crestview also has non-hipster pizza people love. I don't think they have a liquor license but people cross the parking lot to the Crestview Market and buy beers to drink as they enjoy pizza on the outdoor tables in front of Little Deli.

Check out Pinthouse, great beer and pizza. Cool staff, plenty of seating.
