I thought it was Franklin's where he had cut in line?

Didn't realize he had stopped at Pok-e-Joes too.

& I agree. Beer is good.

That would have been OK with me...BEFORE they messed up their pulled pork with peach habanero sauce

This might sound perfectly normal to the usual suspects here on CD austin....but to some of us less enlightened working stiffs, it sounds like the city manager is behaving like he's wasting CofA salaries....which are paid for with other people's money.
Other companies in the same general vicinity of City Hall are encouraging their employees to work from home that afternoon. I guess it is different since they aren't flat out being given the time off, but perhaps the city workers aren't able to log in remotely to work.

AISD is also dismissing schools in the downtown area at 12:30pm. My child is thrilled that she is getting a 2 hour jump on spring break!

I'm supposed to fly out 6pm this Friday from Austin airport and was wondering if I should get to the airport early, about the time Obama is making speeches, maybe 2pm?

Glad I'm done with work by 11 on Friday! When I heard that he was coming for SXSW Edu, my first thought was what a traffic nightmare it was going to be!

They also recently stopped making their jalapeno sausage .

We got stuck there for a while 'cause we were at lunch when they shut 360 down (which is required for us to get back to work).

More off topic, but wonder where the Obamas will eat this time. Last times it was Stubbs, Magnolia, and Franklins.

Maybe Chuy's.

Chuy's is good. I'm too, guessing somewhere south close to the Long Center. Uchi? Guero's?

Matt's El Rancho and Green Pastures both have enough parking to handle the motorcade/security detail.

Geeze, that will really mess up South Lamar/Barton Springs. No wonder some downtown residents go on vacation during SXSW.
