Hi, I will be in austin area for about one month and need to bring my kids with me. Is there any school my kids (6 & 4 yo) can enroll temporarily for one month? Thank you!

Any public school will take them, although they will kind of be dropped into the middle of whatever is being taught.

6yo can go to 1st grade at a public school. 4yo has to go to a private preschool/daycare.

Could do public pre-k if there is space available.

I'm a little perplexed by this question. Any public school in the US cannot refuse enrollment to a student, even if they are only there for a few weeks. There are lots of what schools call "transient" students who enroll in one school and then move to another due to housing and employment reasons. There is no one who could care for kiddos at their current location? Coming to a different school for such a short time can be tough, as someone else had mentioned. There's even data that shows that moving kids for any reason throws them back up to one academic school year.
