Hello! I got a job in Cedar Park this week. Unfortunately, my family & I will be unable to visit the area before moving there & will have to set up a place online. I don’t mind up to a 20 min max commute to work to find the best fit for a place to live for us. I see several choices near Cedar Park like Round Rock, Georgetown, Leander, Hutto, etc. I kindof want a city/town that is a little separate from all the suburbs running together (that feels like it’s own place & where people know their neighbors more!) but I don’t have to have that. I heard Cedar Park has a lot of parks & we definitely need a place with lots of nature/parks/etc.. We’d like a place that feels like a real community. Of course good schools are very important for my 8&9 year old. Good restaurants, etc, are a plus. What are known to be the best places for families in that area? Looking forward to living in Texas. My husband will graduate in Feb with his electronic engineering tech degree so an area with opportunity for work for him is also very important (we need to set something up now tho... can’t wait til he graduates).
