District 5 Candidates-check out their speeches, sites. At 1:15 you can hear Ryan Alter & at 9:25 you can hear Stephanie Bazan. https://www.ryanforatx.com/issues
How they each feel/think about the homelessness issue:https://theaustinbulldog.org/2022-ho...ness-policies/
Each one's website: https://www.ryanforatx.com/issues

They both have the same basic political stance but Alter has more fleshed out concrete plans and political experience. I agree lawyers are off putting, but politics is ultimately about laws- creating them, enforcing them and working within them. I would have considered Bazan given her life long association with South Austin if she had put anything besides generic ideas out. I also like Alter's tax swap plan, though I'm not sure that is his original idea feel like I've heard it before from someone else.
