what about the 88 year old guy who killed the guard, doesn't that register with you? The "little old lady" was 100% wrong, did the cop over-react? Maybe, but who knows today, what to expect from anyone, especially someone who is not cooperating? Hopefully this will teach her to behave like an adult and not a 5 year old? When she sees her insurance rates go up I bet she will re-think her actions.

Thats why Peace or Police Officers undergo training on how to deal with this situation. You are not limited to use only one form of restraint.. I think this particular Officer was off playing with his tasers when the rest of his class was training with various techniques on effecting an arrest!

So now police officers should use weapons not when they are danger, but when they want to teach someone a lesson? Thank you sir, may I have another!

I hope you never need to get taught a lesson on speeding. I hope you never have a medical crisis that makes you act out of sorts and belligerent when a police officer is around.

It never should have gotten to the point where she got out of the car. When she refused to sign the ticket, the officer should have just handed her the ticket and told her that if she didn't show up for court a warrant would be issued for her arrest. Then send her on her way. When she spouted off "take me to jail," he should have just ignored it. Instead he escalated it by asking her to get out of the car. Once out of the car she did everything wrong. The shove was clearly his attempt to get them out of harms way. Both parties handled this wrong. She pushed it to the point that she got tased, but the officer should never have asked her to get out of the car for refusing to sign a speeding ticket.
