Hi Keviny, I took my test a few weeks back...it lasts about 15 minutes. You parallel park in the test centre lot (if you want to practise, it's open at the weekends and depending on the time of day, there's usually someone practising) inbetween two poles. Then you reverse in a straight line for a couple of metres. The route they took me on (and I think it's standard) is out of the test centre, turn right. At the first set of lights, turn right and carry on until you get to a stop sign. Then I took a right and then drove around the quiet streets there. Basically I did a big square and then drove back to the test centre, parking in the lot just before it (by a big tree). From the time the woman before me was on her test, I'd say that the route I described above is probably the standard one. There were no tricks or anything to try and trip you up- if anything they were really relaxed. It says in the Texas driving test book that they won't ask you to do anything against the law.
