I think this is a cute neighborhood (the part of Forest Oaks that is DR Horton/Meritage). But I noticed that every single house has a very short, white picket fence with relatively wide slats. Seems like there is no backyard privacy for those who would want it. Just wondering....do homeowners have the right to build a taller white fence if they want to? (more like the fences in Cedar Park Town Center) If they do, then we might consider that neighborhood in the future.

They probably won't allow a higher fence. With out looking into it I can almost assume there's an HOA, anything you do will have to be approved. Even when painting your house you'll need approval because some colors are just "too much".

Probably not. Several years ago, my husband and I went into the DR Horton sales office of Highland Park in Pflugerville, wih the same style and floorplans as those in Forest Creek Village. We also couldn't stand those Fisher-Price-type short white fences, and we asked if we would have the option to change them. The lady told us no, and they unfortunately had lots of requests to change the fences.
