You know that in WWII (and even today) daytime attacks are more dangerous for flyers than nighttime attacks.

True.

Japan may have taken a number of countries like Australia and NZ if the US had not entered the war also true, most of our assets were tied up in Europe and Africa (oil protection), the UK was largely pinned down and could not assist.

US history portrays them as the Hero's of WW2, Its simply a shame to see young Aussies buying into this belief. I understand how Americans grow up to believe it, that's excusable.

I was watching a really good history channel program that said, for all his terrible evils, it was Stalin and Russia that really won a large portion of the war. Russia did whatever it took including sacrificing many civilians.

How do you know, did you grow up here and attend school? Some Americans may choose to believe that, but not all by a long shot. We are most certainly not taught that we were the sole heroes of the war.

I really wish you would stop posting crap. You come off as bitter.

I don't think Japan had any desire to conquer Australia and New Zealand.

US history portrays them as being the difference maker. Europe and certainly the Pacific could not have been won without them. Hollywood portrays them as heroes.
