stop running NASCAR Cup races.
You were my hero back in the 80's but you are embarrassing yourself by jumping into underfunded back marker teams.
Ford to Dodge to Chevy to Toyoda, can't get any lower than that.

If you can't get racing out of your blood than do some road racing. Old guys can still win in road racing and in that series you are one of the younger guys.

So you're saying you'd pass on the opportunity to make enough money to put your kids, your grandkids and even your neighbors kid through college?

Daytona's a crapshoot and anyone can win, even Elliott or Nemechek who took home $270,000 last year.

If Elliott was still driving a ford would you feel the same way?

I personally would rather watch a legendary driver like Bill Elliott in an underfunded car than an idiot never-was like Michael Waltrip. Elliott earned his career, Mikey had his given to him.

How many other drivers do you know who hung around the series for 15 YEARS without winning a race? If he weren't DW's cornball brother, Mikey wouldn't have made it past 1995. He sucks.

Bill is in a car due to his past champions provisional. He automatically gets in the race. As as someone stated before, anyone has a chance to win at a Super speedway. Bill will be paid handsomely to drive and will get a percentage of the purse, not to mention exposure.

As for Micheal Waltrip being an idiot, ya might want to compare your bank account with his. I'll put a quarter on him being a little ahead! Say what you will but MW is a sponsors dream. He also has put his fan first with hi race shop. Now before anyone spews any crap about this statement, I never said he could drive!
