Not only that but Goodyear recommended they run the tires at something like 20psi for the left-rear, and some of the teams that had tire issues were running them at 12psi. That's just idiotic.
Regardless that track needs resurfacing. that track looked a like they were racing on a bad highway but at much greater speed. 17 tire failures says it all and it became a race to see whose tires would fail before finish.
Basically today with faster cars with sun out it showed that track surface wasn't ready for prime time. The cars looked like they were running on a bad highway with expansion joint problems. 17 tire failures costing many a chance at winning the race. Came close to NSACAR having to allow extra tires. That track needs resurfacing ;plain and simple.it did point out the vast difference between nationwide tho and sprint cup I power and speed and its effects .Certainly wide enough to make passing easy tho.

sorry but the problem wasnt the track, and it wasnt the tires. it was nascar allowing more camber than last year, and the teams running tire pressures that were too low. the track is fine.

According to the talking heads the drivers like the track's worn surface.
Yeah they way overreacted to her qualifying 10th. She actually ran fairly well at Martinsville in both races last year, but it didn't take long for her to fall out of the top 30 in this race, where she's more accustomed to running.
Started 10th, finished 32nd. I wonder whose fault it was because it's never on her.
