I missed the race! I can't believe they started it 6 hours later. How in the world would people know to re-set their DVRs or even turn the channel? They really need to call these before that amount of time. Replay on Friday it looks like, if anyone else missed the race. I hear JJ won and Danica lead a lap!

It's only oversaturated to people lean on the casual fan side. The World of Outlaws has at least 60 races and USAC sprint cars have almost 40. Not to mention all of the local dirt shows going on. Now I would agree that there needs to be tracks with two dates on the schedule and have those replaced with tracks like Road America, Rockingham, Memphis, etc.

Danica might have led a lap during some green flag pit stops but she was a non factor even before she hit the wall.

I went to my Daytona 500 on Sunday, and it was incredible. The rain delay was over 6 hours so I left the track with my friends since it appeared that it would be too late to have the track dry. Once we heard via Twitter it was going back on under the lights we made it back in time to see the restart.

What a truly amazing experience! It is hard to understand how large DIS is unless you're standing in the infield. Luckily got to go out on the track and pit road before the race and get a different perspective on the DIS that does not translate when you watch this race on TV. My seat was only 5 rows up so way too low to see much action. However, it was a hair raising experience to feel what its like when 43 cars pass you by at 190+ mph from only 20 or so feet away.

Only wish tandem drafting racing was still allowed.

Here is the view from my seat before and after the rain delay.

It's always cool to see a picture from the stands. I'll be making my first trip down next year since my dad is retiring. He previously went from 1979 (he was in turn three right in front of the fight!) to 1983. Can't wait!

I have been a few times and have always enjoyed my self. Just remember, the higher up you sit, the more track your going to be able to see. If you want to see the pit row and the finish line, you have to see on the front stretch, close to the middle.
