Previously I probably would have said "not likely" but after watching last nights race--well that has to make me wonder????????? I just thought the ending of that race was a bit odd!

They said they need to slow the cars down to keep the drivers and fans from getting injured yet since the advent of restrictor plates all we get on the big tracks are more crashes and of course more younger fans.

So the Frances' get richer and the owners and their sponsors get to build more cars. It a great deal for them not so great for the sponsors.
So this year they bring out the Dale Earnhardt tributes and all the announcers get to tell us what a great job NASCAR is doing for safety.

Of the 36 trucks that started yesterdays race only 5 finished undamaged yet NASCAR will not have to replace any of those wrecked trucks caused by their bumper to bumper racing rules.
Kind of sick isn't it? People don't ***** about 22 guys standing around on a playing field for 49 min of a 60 min game, but complain about not any action on the track unless they are wrecking.

Do you really believe NASCAR sets up all the crashes? That's got to be one of the nuttiest things I've ever read.

If you only had a clue.

I have always thought they should have at least 1 dirt track race added to the Nascar season. Not a small track, but a decent one to see some good racing. And more so after the 2 by 2 BS racing that I saw yesterday in the twin 150's. How many forms of racing do you see the driver in first place, LET the second place driver go ahead of him. Its just not racing. If I recall, Petty had 30 or so dirt track wins of his 200.

I like the idea and would like to see them take it further.......not only a few dirt races, but a couple OWM's, Sprints dirt and asphalt thrown into the season as well and make them points races too.

Can Na$car "fix" a race? I seriously doubt they would. However, they have been known to throw mystery cautions when they need to.

If the races were fixed, then why did Kurt Busch (hardly a Nascar favorite & driving a Dodge) pull off win's in two of the big races this past week?
