not a big fan of new cars with all that electrical stuff which ends up costing the earth. some people on this forum have suggested buying a vintage type car and restoring it for daily driving. what make and model would you choose?
1987-93 5.0 mustang coupe 5-speed
it has tons of aftermarket support has a useable back seat decent sized trunk and no fancy traction control and easy to add a more modren adjustable coil over suspension and a massive disk brake conversion kit is relatively cheap

1967 thru 1979 fullsize Ford or GM pickups make a great vintage daily driver. Of old vehicles still around these are the most common and were built in many different configurations. From basic to power everything and from regular cab to supercab to crewcab, 2wd or 4wd. Cheap to buy and maintain but very reliable provided the previous owners didn't hack and cobble on it much.
If you wanted something diffrent and can live with 190HP-230HP A 1985-1990 Iroc in nice condition would and ok car the only downside is the L98 350 only came in auto you had to have the 305 to get the 5-speed but it is very easy to drop in a warmed over 350 ZZ4 crate motor or rebult small block chevy V8 into it for a little more scoot.
they look great have a retro feel still easy to find for a decent price and were really great handling cars in their day.
I call these vintage (my time period) and not those of the 90's that are recent production cars with accessories.
