The C55 can be had for $20k but the C63 is still a ways off. I see a lot of them in the high $40k's. Both fine machines.

Very interesting. The s4 seems tunable I'm not sure about the C55...could it be possible to get these cars to 0-60 in 4.1 secs?

The S4 will do 12.97 @ 109.1 all motor and Bolt-on parts quarter mile pass with a JHM tune.

SVT Cobra. Terminator. Solo Steez - YouTube
$28K you build a car..I mean a 03-04 C5 Corvette Z06 with a upgrade suspension and on the brake or a 03-04 Mustang SVT Cobra with upgrades can have you a 500HP track car or a 700HP Mustang cobra that Runs with the current GT500

All good cars but none of them have any semblance of luxury.

Yeah, I'm familiar with C55 pricing but guessed when thinking of the C63's that are a few years old. I searched AutoTrader and came up with 0 listings under $30K for the C63. What I want is a W212 E63 or possibly a W220 S65. I wish I could afford one.

The OP could have an R129 SL that's practically like brand new for less than his max price.

Now that we're talking used... E39 M5. With 28K you can buy a pretty low-mileage example and still have plenty of money left over for the upkeep. Alternatively, E46 M3.

Yup. My picks as well. And for me, since I don't need QUITE as much speed, it'd be an '01 E38 740i Sport with a supercharger added.

2008-2009 Pontiac G8 GT? Often compared to the BMW 5 series, just faster. Lots of tire smoking RWD V8 action for a damn good price.
