Inspired by the thread "What car would you be embarassed to be seen in?"

I am proud of my 63 Chevy C10 because of it's history and because I gave up many long weekends of my time and energy to earn it and to get it on the road. Unfortunately circumstances leave it not roadworthy and stored in another state but it will be returned to it's original glory. It always brought a smile to my face when I got a thumbs up going down the road.

I will also be proud when I have any of the many classics on my wish list for the same reasons.

I often get compliments from friends or co-workers on my daily driver but I don't know how to respond. I feel fortunate to be able to have a nice, safe and economical car to commute in but there is no pride at all.

Any Toyota, Honda, Nissan, or Hyundai. It shows wisdom.

Every time I get behind the wheel(and that is often) of my Tbird I feel extremely proud.

Of course, I am equally proud every time I drive my pickup too.
It gets nearly as many compliments as the Bird.
Bob.

Anyone can buy a new car but only few take the time to buy and restore a classic. I am by far a Mustang guy but I love any and all old classic cars and trucks, I would be proud to drive in any one of them. It takes a lot of time and money to restore a car and nothing says "proud" like after you complete a restoration and drive your hard earned work around. Very few new cars have any character at all and unless it was a new Shelby GT 500, Challenger SRT8, or an exotic car I dont see myself being proud to be seen in one.

I'm proud of driving any car I've built/modified/restored/etc, be it old or new, popular or obscure. So long as it's not a boring A-B appliance, or falling apart.

Well, it's not a real car (or doesn't exist yet) but I wouldn't mind being seen in a faster-than-light space car!

The ones with windows tinted so dark, I would not be seen in it.
