That is a rediculously large vehicle that your leasing.
We were a family of 4 when I was younger and we all rode in a coupe.
I now have a family of 4 and we use a van, with room to seat 7. Our van gets about 22 mpg. This mpg is unacceptable and we will be trading soon to up our mpg.
'08 Escape gets 34 mpg and is a very nice vehicle. However, the cost is around $30K. They are asking way too much for a vehicle with two extra batteries.

Thank God, gas is the one thing in NoVA that is cheaper compared to the rest of the country. In Alexandria it's $2.76 a gallon for unleaded. BTW i drive an 01 honda accord 4-cyl that gets 18-20 mpg.

I can't believe the Accord ('01 model at that) gets that poor of gas mileage.

how would that help when so many people drive heavy trucks for basic transportation already?

what we should be doing is taxing the hell out of those vehicles. you want to drive them, thats cool. just pay a nice big gas guzzler tax like the sports car guys do.

isnt that car rated 24/34? there's either something wrong with your particular car, or your driving lol.

What do you mean $3 gas is "on the way"? It's already been here on and off for 3 years.

It would be nice to see diesel less than petrol.

i haven't owned that many cars, maybe 15, but i've never failed to equal or better the rated mileage in any of them. I don't sit in bumper to bumper traffic all day of course, but bumper to bumper traffic is not a good situation to assess the accuracy of the epa's ratings either
