You aren't suppose to call others thieves here. He said I stole something and that is not nice. Not my fault the gas purchase was not on my credit card statement was it? NO it was not and I figured it would be on the next bill . He disrespected me by saying that and I want an apology now.... He needs to man up and apologize .

"I want an apology now". Good luck with that.

The vast majority of stations around here make you pre-pay, so you might as well do so at the pump. So that's what I do, and then if I want to grab some chips or soda or whatever, they end up racking up a second card transaction fee.

I haven't seen one of those in years.

I always pay at the pump. I do get angry when the machine doesn't print the receipt because then I have to go in to get my receipt. I usually pay with a debit card and still balance my check book.

Pay at pump, sometimes buy stuff in store while pumping.

I usually walk out and my pump just stops.

Now what I hate are gastations that don't have lock on things and you have to hold the handle.... what are we? Animals? Ain't nobody got time for that!

There was a time when pay at the pump was one of my greatest pleasures. Then Mobil came out with the Speed Pass and it became a source of frustration until the readers started appearing here in Vermont.

Now the only time I go inside is when I'm buying snacks or drinks or if the pump doesn't have the reader.

Pay at the pump. I hate having to go inside - if the pump doesn't work or won't read my card, I'll leave and go to another station on my way home.

I like being able to pull up to a pump on my bike, fill up and be gone within 2 or 3 minutes, don't even have to get off the seat!

So, once you figured it out, you paid the station for the "free" gas they gave you then, and informed them of the screwed up machine, right? Or, you figured it out, and continued using the card for 3 months until one day a single fill-up showed up on your statement, and that's the only one you paid for.
