1) Breaking other parts when trying to replace another.

2) Anything that's stuck, especially when it's something you can't WD-40 or PB.

3) Warranty replacements of any kind. I replaced a supercharger coupler three months ago that is already misbehaving.

It's a $15.99 part that takes all day to put in, and every time I take the snout off it takes another $20 in oil to refill.

with the fold down tube on the can, WD-40 works wonders on rusted bolts. Hitting them with a wire brush first can often help, too.

Well I cut my Hair because I got tired of getting hug up and Grease.

I'm so happy after 60 years to have a Garage to work on them.

My wife likes working on them, thought she would take it easy and take vehicles to the shop. She found out fast how they could mess things up. Decided to continue to work on them herself.

Taking something apart slowly and 29 little ball bearings pour out and disappear in different directions.

Taking something apart and a little spring flies out and disappears in a gravel driveway.

My Sons and I build hot rods and drag cars and I love working on those, but I hate working on my daily driver. Same with spending money on them..........I will think nothing of ordering $ 1500 worth of tires for my hot rod, but I dread spending $ 600 for new ones for my daily one. Priorities, ya know.

In general I like working on cars. However the following things can make it a lot less enjoyable:

1. Electronics and computers as they are difficult to work with and expensive to troubleshoot.

2. Rust on EVERYTHING underneath a vehicle from driving up in the Salt Belt.

3. Bees, wasps, and hornets.

4. The fact that cars today are essentially designed as "no user serviceable parts inside" appliances. There is often not a lot of room to work on these cars, many things are sealed "for life" (the life of the part, not the life of the car...) and some cars such as BMWs even lack dipsticks. You're not even supposed to check your own oil? What's next, tires with no valve stems so you have to replace the tires if they get low?
