Sad that today's compact sedans can beat some of these models.

Sad for old sports cars, but I would not want to hold them up to the bar set by more modern advances.

Honestly, I think it is great to see how far automotive engineering has come in terms if ride, handling, performance, and economy.

Besides, even if some modern sedans put up better test track numbers, the pure driving sensations from some of the older sports cars cannot be beat! (Especially compared to modern cars with numb, electronic power steering, etc).

These were my high school dream cars. My 2003 Malibu could give them a run for the money in straight line and cornering. But they looked hotter.http://m.youtube.com/?#/results?q=motorweek&sm=3

I missed my 1994 Supra turbo. That car was definitely ahead of it's time for a sport car in that price range.

I miss my 1995 300ZX too! I still check them out when I see a clean example on the streets.

That would be my 2nd choice. I keep telling myself that I would get either a clean Supra or TT Z from that era for a weekend car. Problem is trying to find a clean unmolested one at reasonable price.

My choice would be.

1. TT Supra
2. TT 300z
3. 3000GT
4. RX7 (it would be way up there on list if it was a more reliable car)

Sad because of the love I and many family members has for those cars that today's base model economy cars can beat them in a race.
