Yeah, an Alliance, but not really. 1.9l instead of 1.7 and a very tight suspension - I could get air just driving over a railroad track. I'd still have it now if it wasn't for...
Dangit!! I just did a google search on the buick... "In the Buick, the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is rated at 200 horsepower (up from 197) with 206 lb-ft of torque, or 221 lb-ft on overboost."
WHY?!?!?! WHY?!!?!!?!
Why not? It's not a sports car, but a cruiser, and 200 hp is all it needs to move fairly briskly, while still getting excellent fuel mileage.
Yes! Especially if it's an old one. I had a '57 Buick convertible for a few years. I hated driving it around town, because everyone gawked, gave me the thumbs up or had to comment on the car. I understand that and don't blame them, but it still made me feel like I was in a fish bow.
And in Georgia, I have my hand gun on the seat next to me. Those that are tall enough to view the inside of my car, can see my little buddies Mr. Smith & Mr. Wesson... just sayin'....
It's really unfortunate that Chrysler was incompetent about car reliability. They used to make BEAUTIFUL convertibles. This was mine, 98 I believe, California.
I don't have a ton of $$$ and want a cruiser that will seat 4 full grown human beings in reasonable comfort. Pony cars and 2 seaters just don't get it. A top that goes down with a push of the button is mandatory.
