The glare can be dangerous. With some new trucks, especially Fords, the entire front end is a wall of glare. That may get ugly in a few years when the lawsuits start.
I prefer chrome front bumpers on my trucks since they hold up better to flying stone than the painted bumpers. My '13 Silverado had a painted from bumper and after about 8K miles the paint had more chips than Hillary has excuses, since then I have only purchased trucks with the chrome front bumpers and no chips. But my trucks go on gravel roads quite a bit.
But on a Corvette? I had some C5's back in the days when I could exit/entrance them with grace, and chrome was a BIG NO except for the rims. But my Vettes never say gravel!
