That's suppose to be "high end". Looks like something from the 1990s. China has a lot of catching up to do. Like the Koreans. Wow! Korea really put their game face on from 10 years ago to now. Amazing what they have accomplished in such a short time.
As taimaishu stated, China produces cheap junk for the american market as that's what americans are buying. Many companies contract with China for items that put american made product to shame; it just cost more. If you're wiling to pay China for quality, you get quality. If you're bottom feeding on price, they will gladly give you the garbage we so enjoy buying.
China today is Japan of the 60's. Very scary with poor quality.
I see this claim a lot. It assumes that China is destined to become another Japan. I see no sign of it and they've been at it for 50 years. The only "Chinese" cars that are decent are those that they bought, lock, stock and barrel.
