I had manual transmission in economy cars years ago. Fun to drive.

Any with manual transmission when trade in - dealer always used "deduct" - as value was less.

Today is a tad different. There are so few manuals out there.

It's a very small market new or used.

Blackbooks and all the other auction publications list deducts on the Subaru's with manual transmissions. ($900-$1,000 on 2012 through 2016 Foresters.)

A 2011 or 2012 with 30,000 miles was going to be $22,000 or $23,000, not worth the small amount of savings, so purchased the 2013. When the 2014 (with about 52,000 miles) was totaled in an accident the insurance payoff was in excess of $22,000, so it kept its value pretty darn well.

Currently the 17s have 0% financing for 48 months while the 18s financing charge is ... maybe 1.8%
i am looking for a Forester so its the 0 fiancing on all models or only some trims/packages i have 750 credit score so i am likely approved anyways

My 2007 forester was rear ended and totaled last May, and my insurance settled for $11,300, so they do hold their value quite well.

I now have a 2017 Forester with cvt.....Best of both worlds.... Paddle shifters if you prefer manual, and unbelievable fuel economy on auto....

Not sure ... I believe 0% is on more than just the Forester ... Check their website or Google / Yahoo / Bing
