Do that many guys really buy old, used cars thinking that it will impress women?
Well, whether they do or not, take that dealer decal off anyway. They are not paying you to be a rolling billboard for their business.
My dad buys Volvo & Subaru brand new with custom features & spotless credit. He won’t drive it off the lot until they take any dealer decals off.
I'm not saying don't buy or lease a car you enjoy driving for looks and pereformance. But if you're buying some 20 year old BMW with 120,000+ miles on it from some shady used car lot, versus a brand new non-luxury vehicle from the dealership for roughly the same price, it's obvious you bought the BMW to impress over practicality reasons.

Who would be impressed by a 20 year-old BMW? It seems to me that girls/women being impressed with a guy's car went out about 1970. Possibly with the exception of a gold-digger attracted to a guy with a real exotic like a Lamborghini or Ferrari.
The extent of my wife's car knowledge is Black car, or white car. That's about it. My wife's more concerned about me finishing up building our deck, or installing the recessed lighting in our living room.
I'm into cars pretty big, but anything I buy is more for myself vs impressing others. I enjoy the driving experience of certain types of vehicles.
How would anyone even know what car you drive? It is not like you walk around with a picture of it hanging off a necklace, and I seriously doubt you are meeting anyone sitting in traffic, in a parking lot, or cruising down the highway.
If you have some luxury vehicle, cool sports car, or other nice ride that you bought to impress the opposite sex or even your peers, for the love of God take off the decal from the used car/bad credit dealership because you're shiny 1995 BMW that you bought with 130,000 miles on it from Bad Credit Motors makes you come off as poor and broke. That is all.
If you're buying cars to impress women, you have bigger problems.

Quite a few past Gfs of mine could not see much difference between a Lamborghini Diablo and Chevy Camaro! (besides color).
You will attract more men with cars like this than females any day
I found women were much more impressed when I took them somewhere in an airplane.
Way to go Erik, we have a winner, but please don’t
take Sarah Palin up, and let her shoot any wolves.
