They depreciate like 60% in the first year, so if it’s a year old, he got it for a bargain.
Most people never consider maintenance as a cost and that’s why they’re pizza delivery guys.

Probably needs the job. I saw a brand new Jag with a lit " Papa Johns" sign on top. Desperate times sometimes call for desperate measures. Perhaps it's a kid using a parents car to earn some dough? Who knows?

I remember back in the 80's my sister ordered a pizza and the guy showed up in a Vette. He said that the delivery job was a second job and it helped him pay for his car.

It made sense.
