Wrong, the Fusion is made by Ford at the Ford plant in Mexico. It is not a rebadged Mazda.

Not wrong. It is based on the Mazda 6 complete with a Mazda-derived driveline.

Cars of all makes/models have caught fire for a variety of reasons. After the recent BMW fire in Atlanta I was looking at the related videos on youtube (this story actually came up as a related story to the BMW fire, which is how I found this) and I have seen about every make of car with a fire. Some may have been from owner error, or mechanic error, or some sort of electrical "add-on" that was not properly installed, etc. I have seen burning Cadillacs, Hondas (one was late model van), Toyotas, Nissans, Mazdas, Jaguars, Chryslers, Dodges, etc. I have seen a good deal of Mini-Coopers blazing on there... as well as Audis and late model Mercedes... the ones that Chrysler made. Toyota and Honda seem to have the least amount though.... especially the older ones. Not many of those on there... those have good fuel/electrical systems.

Ford has had alot of fires, I admit. There was a recall involving alot of them from the 80s and 90s for the faulty ignition switches... then another covering many 1993-00'ish Ford F150s, Crown Victorias, Lincoln Town Cars, etc, with the cruise control deactivation switch potentially shorting out if fluid leaks out on them, but Ford did recall all of these.... unfortunately so many owners STILL have not taken their cars in for the FREE repairs. I forgot what the percentage was, but it was way up there.

LOL!!

Well not really, it actually scares me!

Its just this popped up at a "related" story on that Atlanta BMW blaze and wanted to comment on it... why would a car catch dry grass on fire? lol.

You can't afford monthly payments because you are caught in an endless cycle of renting cars.

Exactly which Mercedes models did Chrysler make? I can't, for the life of me, think of one.
