I agree and would go with the Honda S2000 if u can even find one. It is not a mass produced car and most who buy them keep them forever. It would be a rare find. My son had a new Toyota MR2 in 2002. That car was soooooo much fun to drive. The top came down so easy.
I myself would love to trade my Celica for an MR2 but they are nowhere to be found! I like the Silver and that bright Yellow.
Good luck!
yeah but the bang for the buck the 99-02 camaro is a great handling car with lots of performance upgrades and very easy to find parts for I guess it come down to what type of sports car you like I prefer i the low end tire smoking v-8 type power
Im going to be paying my own insurance...so would it cost a lot to insure something like a Corvette? I also like the BMW 330Ci, looks like a killer ride.
Yeah, you should check out the insurance rates for the models you are interested in, because you could be paying thousands a year just in insurance depending on the model. Especially if you are a younger person.
Another happy S2000 owner here. To clear up a couple of errors in the above posts: AP1 models are from 2000 to 2003, with the 2000 model having a plastic rear window. AP2 models started in 2004, and except for drive by wire which was added in 2006 have remained unchanged since then. As far as the comment that the S is slow, Road and Track has the current model doing the quarter mile in 13.9 with a top end of 150. Not slow. Add in some of the best braking times in the automotive world and a skid pad number of .99 and you have a vehicle that is world class. It is not, however a great cruising car, quite tight inside with no storage to speak of. The trunk is not too large either. Because of its high revving low torque nature the car is geared quite low, cruising at 70 will show more that 4k on the tach.

How about a 69 Camaro? My sis' hubby had one back in the early 70's. He had that car up to 103 MPH on a country road! WOW! All I kept saying was, faster!
I remember him always working on his car! Was a gold color with a white convertible top! Hot car! His brother had a 69 Nova and I had a 69 Charger my Dad gave me, we would race each other! I had a 442 under the hood! Funny, the car also had that Rolling Stone tongue insignia on the hood scoop.

haha awsome that would of been a wild ride. I have to give you props for owning a 69 charger
My dad has one, but I am not much for speed. When he gets to 70, I tell him to back off, unless we are on the freeway, but we dont take it much on the freeway.

I agree Blondie, good American muscle is the best! Now I prefer a Ford, but Any old classic is good.
