That's the one I thought about first, as well as Tenerife. The still image of a DC-10 on its side with the left engine visibly missing is haunting.
Adding to that, one of the Airline Disaster documentaries on this crash said the airline had just installed a camera so passengers could see take offs as they happened. So the passengers apparently saw their own crash which led to an end to that feature for many years.
I agree. I remember when that happened. It was horrifying.
