It wasn't "illegal immigration." There wasn't an incorporated country with official laws on the books when Europeans arrived. And the "native" Hispanic/Latinos from Central America and Mexico have little do with Maryland. Just saying.

But yes, many illegal immigrants are still giving us cheap labor (like agriculture, factories/distribution centers, landscaping, construction, etc). I could agree with you that immigrants, not only "illegal" ones, helped America "get rich."

Anyway, Latinos are good for Baltimore in many ways. They're rehabbing a lot of the run-down houses and opening up businesses (although a lot of them don't apply to English-speakers).

actually i was speaking figuratively speaking when i said a "few" million...but the fact remains that millions were killed and slaughtered, current native american population counts are weak compared to the population pre-european
