There's no real difference between Dixon and Pugh anyway. Cookie cutter machine Democrat politicians. Baltimore just wants more of the same and it will get it.

Can't wait for retirement and a move to greener pastures.

I feel the good paying jobs are there but the people that want them are so far from qualified that it is not even funny. People are expecting to make $40k a year with literally no skill set these days. It seems be are ashamed or would rather not work at all at minimum wage to build a skill set to get these higher paying jobs. Have to crawl before you can walk.........

This.

Smh, Baltimore city public schools, a generation and culture of apathy, drugs, crime, trauma ... How do you fix this? There are many who do want better/an oppty but poverty and lack of skills keeps them stuck in this environment. It's a sad cycle.

And add the corrupt and inept political establishment to this sad reality.

**When the final votes are counted, Dixon could very well be the winner. This is very interesting.

Maybe. Is Schmoke still around to diddle the vote like he did when Glendening beat Sauerbrey?

In real life provisional and absentee ballots almost always follow the regular ballot ratios.

Oh well. Dixon is being disingenuous. Provisional and absentee ballots are counted until the 2nd Wednesday after the election. She should know that.

Not sure how they can enforce more discipline but that is definitely one trait children are lacking these days compared to previous generations. The schools have catered so much to the kids that have no interest in learning than it does to the kids that demonstrate discipline and readiness to advance. They have made it easier and easier for kids to advance grade levels when they have no business advancing. Its quite sad when there are high school graduates these days that do not even know how to read but yet they have been issued a high school diploma. Hopefully whoever takes office revamps the education system in the city but this has been a hot topic for even the presidential candidates.

If Dixon wins we will be known as the city of riots the wire/ the corners and corrupt politicians that get second chances and that is part of my concern. DC with Marion Barry over came that imagine don't think Baltimore can

I would like to believe that Dixon learned her lesson and would use a second chance to do wonderful things for the city. My cynical side believes that she will be embolden and do twice as much as she did before in the pay to play tax abatement and related schemes

You are right. The strategic last minute push by Mosby Cumming and Carter put Pugh over the top. The African American upper middle class establishment does not want a Dixon Mayor. The white business community and local developers are likely ambivalent and likely put money in both of their campaigns under different shadow companies

I would like to see who young whites professionals in fed hill and canton voted for ? I suspect that many lower income African Americans voted Dixon and older upper income ,middle income, and lower income whites split across Pugh Embry and Warnock

Hogan appears to like Pugh which could be a plus
