Hello - My partner and I are considering possible relocation to Baltimore area. I have been reading ALL of the different postings to get a sense of the area - we have visited many times - yet, never knew we might end up living there. We want a walking community, smaller well maintained homes, sidewalks, possibly downtown area with cafe's, coffee houses, shops, and most importantly SAFE. I like what I am reading about Mount Washington area -we welcome any insight to this or areas we might like. We would like it to be EASY commute or transportation system into city.

Then, why are you even considering the Baltimore area?

Have you been here to check it out? Mount Washington has all of the above- cafes, shops, a light rail station to bring you downtown. It's also got a Whole Foods too.

Not sure if you saw this article but here's a pretty good summary: Mount Washington -- baltimoresun.com
