As always, Brewers lose once again to the Cardinals. They lost 7-1.

Yes they do.

I live in Wisconsin but I can't find a way to cheer for the Brewers. Back during the Prince & Braun times they disgraced baseball with their excessive celebrating & party atmosphere. I can't wait for Braun to be traded. Then I may show more of an interest in cheering for them.

Also, the odds are so stacked against a small market non-coastal, non-Texas MLB team. Brewers will never win the world series. Unless you're a St. Louis or maybe a Chicago team, you don't have much of a chance in the world series if you're not a coast, Florida or Texas team. KC winning last year was glorious & such a rare occurrence. The Indians ripping off 14 games in a row was glorious.

So for baseball, I mostly spend my time cheering against the hated Cubs . . . & observing the Brewers, impartial whether they win or lose. I have a soft spot for the Cardinals, simply because so many people around here hate them & they're a middle America team.

I haven't heard anything that Braun will be traded. I think he's gonna finish his career with Milwaukee. Besides, even when Bud Selig left to become commissioner of Major League Baseball, the Brewers have had a lot of losing seasons ever since. The only exceptions are 2008 and 2011.

In fact, 2011 is only the second time that the Brewers AND Packers both made the playoffs. The only other time that happened was 1982.

I hate both the Cardinals and Cubs. The reason why I cannot stand the Cardinals, even though I like Mike Matheny, because they always play well against the Crew. Plus even though I'm not a huge fan of them, but I have a soft spot for the Pirates, especially skipper Clint Hurdle. He's a good manager. Plus I also am a big fan of the Cleveland Indians and they are doing really well this season. I am surprised that the Indians don't have a team thread anyways.

There was talk awhile ago about Braun being traded at the season half-way mark, but ya, I haven't heard anything lately.

I'm cheering for the Indians this season too. I'm surprised they don't have a thread.

There were rumors about Lucroy being traded too. Plus, the Indians are having one of their best seasons. They started off slow but since then they've won 14 straight games until last night and today. Last I checked they were losing 8-0.

Besides I found their team thread. It hasn't popped up since 2011.

Brewers haven't been swept by the Cardinals since 2013 and they are losing 4-2.

Brewers beat the Nats 1-0 on a Maldonado home run. he has only 3 home runs on the season, but 2 of the 3 have come against the Nats. Junior Guerra had another excellent start. Not sure where the Brewers got him from, but he looks to be a keeper for them.
