Glad that coach Jackson has signed on for another year with the Lakers. It looked unlikely a week ago when he indicated that he was leaning toward retirement. I guess his health issues are not as bad as he had feared. Kobe is delighted!
Good decison on his part. I just feel like he belongs in LA, plus alot of the players on the roster have been playing under his wing for quite some years... He loves his championship rings too much to leave lol
Jackson retired twice and only lasted a year each time because he was super-bored. Yet he says being away from his family whenever the team is on the road is starting to wear on him plus his health hasn't been all that great. I think the coming year could very well be Phil's last as an NBA coach.

I'm glad he's staying, I want the Lakers to win again next year, and I can't think of any coach better for that team than Phil Freakin Jackson!
