If I were Greg Oden, I'd retire once my contract is up.

Often times a prospect with great size will come along, and pundits will gush over them like a physical marvel; but we forget that the human body wasn't really designed to get that tall. Skills aside, a lot of 7-plus foot people are too brittle to ever go anywhere in sports, and it looks like Greg's physical durability has reached his limit. He's not alone, Yao Ming could be on his way out soon as well, and Gheorghe Muresan actually had a pretty good year before injuries derailed his career.

That's too bad. I've been unfairly critical of Oden, calling him caveman for instance. Very stupid of me to do so. I assume that he is quite disappointed that he can't help his team. I know I am. So much promise.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery and becomes supremely conditioned in the off-season so he can give it a go somewhere else.

I think he will go down with Sam Bowie, Darko Milichckekjekjekek as one of the worst draft picks ever when you look at who went behind him. Perhaps that won't be fair as a lot of people thought Oden was a lock to be great coming out of OSU but man, what a disappointment.

Hate to say it, but if he hasnt made a full recovery yet I dont think he ever will. But he's not that old so its possible. Its sad what happened to him especially all the hype aroound em even before he got drafted

The dude is talented but he's a injury prone player.

Is anyone surprised? Only three things are guaranteed in life: death, taxes, and Greg Oden getting injured.

?

JaWalrus is what he is...a slob who can't play.

Oden actually has some semblance of game.
