Rumors are circulating that Kevin Garnett may be playing his final game tomorrow against Miami:

Rumor: Celtics F Kevin Garnett to consider retirement after playoffs? - CBSSports.com

He's had his share of douche moments, especially in Boston, but there's no denying his place in NBA history. Could game 7 Boston-Miami be the swan-song for a top 20 all-time player? Stay tuned....

I would not be surprised if he did retire, but I wouldn't be surprised if he resigned for 2 more years.

He is a HOF player, but man I can't stand him, never could. I will not be sad if he does go

If he wins a ring, it would be a good way to go out on top

He may be a douchbag but he is one hell of a player, future Hall of Famer

Glad to see him win a ring, would like for Kevin to win another one

He's not that much of a douche... Never had any off the court issues. Never complained when he didn't have help in Minnesota. Always played hard every game. was coachable... Etc...

I was in college when he was a rookie, and he would come to the club in Greeneville, SC (he'a from a small town near there called Mauldin) with his buddies... He didn't drink, smoke, hang out in VIP, or do anything douche... Was just an 18 year kid dancing and kicking it with his Friends. The other thing I remember taking away from seeing him was the respect he had from the other people in there. says a lot about him at an early age...

He's just an intense player... sometimes that brings out a little douche in you.

But he's a class act overall... Definite 1st ballot HOF.

^^ Yes, just because he's intense on the court doesn't mean he's a douche. If you are a Celtic fan, you want this kind of guy on your team.

BTW, alot of people are propping up Rondo as the Celt's best player in these playoffs, that is nonsense, it is still KG. The Celts would be a 500 team without Garnett, he might be the best defender in the world over the last decade.

The only douchey things he does that rally irk me are blocking free throw attempts and running his filthy mouth.

If he doesn't retire, i think he re-signs with the Celtics. Don't really see him playing for any other team. I have alot of respect for this guy. He never gives up on any play and never takes a play off. Always focused in the game.

I wouldn't go that far, Rondo is the motor that makes that team go. He gave you a triple double in the biggest game of the season last night.

Also, doesn't he sometimes play all 48 minutes? I'm not sure, but I think he has a few times in this series. That's the epitome of valuable, just like Lebron who's too important to sit out for even a minute.

I see no problem with it because of the reasons below

1. Already has a ring

2. Played 17 years in the NBA

3. Battling Hip issues throughout the season

So basically it's just time, even though he is only 36 he has been playing since he was 19 and nothing else for him to accomplish at this point.
