Not entirely surprised, I've been impressed with the Knicks lately. Celtics/Knicks should be a good first round match-up, if that's how these two teams finish in the standings. Right now its looking like the Heat and Knicks as the favorites in the ECF.
I don't expect any Eastern team to win in OKC but the Heat so it definitely surprised me
not only did the lakers lose but kobe got 40 SECONDS of rest the whole game. holy crap i cant imagine him playing those minutes for very long.
Well there's only like 5 games left and their playoff chances aren't looking too good. So Kobe'll get his time off.
Lakers need to win their last few games.
If not, the Jazz will easily make the 8th seed as I think the momentum has shifted in their favor.
GSW and HOU really threw a wrench in the Western Conference this year and the Clippers (although having their best season ever) were only 1 game back behind the Lakers (last year) in the Pacific Conference. Having an extra year of chemistry and picking up some key bench players really helped them.
Jazz were the big winners of the weekend with the Warriors, Rockets, and Lakers losing.
I am surprised that the Lakers haven't done better after they had their mojo rolling to get into the top 8. I thought they would be a lock by now.
Stat of the weekend - Dwight Howard has missed more free throws this year than Steve Nash has missed in his entire 17 year career.
Nash is 3038 for 3360 - a 90.4% rate with 322 missed free throws
Howard is 326 for 665 this year - missing 339 free throws
Awesome free-throw stats.
The Lakers fixed their OFFENSE....which is what was most noticeable and what most people focus on. However, they haven't fixed their defense which is what has them on the bubble.

i dont know that they threw a wrench into things as much as the lakers and mavs just sucked really bad most of the season. had the lakers and mavs played even as good as last year, those 2 teams would be in the hunt for the 8th seed with utah instead of all but locked in to the playoffs.
The Lakers and OKC is a better matchup to me anyway and hope the Spurs get the 2 seed so that they can get to the Finals
