Don't know if anyone caught this yesterday...

Fan shines laser pointer in James Harden’s eyes, gets banned from NBA arenas for one year
Harden was at the free throw line when he pointed out the fan. Security escorted the fan from the building.

“Some guy was lasering me,” Harden said. “I saw it the first time and I thought it was a picture being taken. I went to the foul line again and it happened again. The referee (Tom Washington) caught it before I did. That’s the first time that happened to me.”
Kinda strange watching that whole thing unfold... Coach JBB was assessed a technical foul on that as well.

That should be a life-time ban IMO.

How did the coach get a Tech foul? Is that assessed because of the fans action or something else?

Don't know... announcers were clueless on the tech as well. I will see if I can find out in a couple of days.

I agree with Mathguy. I've heard if you point those laser pointers directly in someone's eye you can cause permanent blindness. This moron should have a permanent ban.....from every. single. arena and stadium in the US!

Remember when the East was the laughingstock of basketball?? Sixers: 0-20 against the East, 4-13 against the West. Of course the 4 wins are over the Lakers, Suns (a complete embarrassment this year!), Kings & T'Wolves, hardly teams that make you shake in your boots, but interesting none-the-less.

IMO it boils down to franchises.

For example, the Spurs have been well run for a long time but say...Orlando not so much.

Then consider the Lakers (extremely well run) and the Knicks (extremely badly run) may be on the verge of doing a 180 with management changes in recent years.

Hypothetically things can follow a cycle but it should balance out over the long run EXCEPT if the franchises are unequally operated and I have to say that the imbalance of the last 10-15 years has been mostly due to that. The West had the Lakers and Spurs....the East had the opposite.

Somewhere out there has to be the cumulative records of teams over the last 20 years, I think that would really tell the tale if you sorted them by wins.

Coach just said that he probably argued too much regarding that whole situation in defending his players.

This has been the bane of the Knicks. Heartbreaking season after heartbreaking season. I've even had long time friends say to abandon the Knicks. When people say, "who's your team" and I have to answer them.

Bad management. It's hard to excuse your team when they're poorly managed. I'm hoping for that 180. Good signs though and I'm staying positive.

I experienced that with the Sixers when Pat Croce left and we went to Billy King. I knew the good days were over.
