I don't see anyone with serious championship aspirations taking him on though, unless coming off the bench. Maybe Chicago, if desperation is kicking in.
I been saying it for a month, Howard has wanted out for a while. Showed in his "sprained ankle" he missed a couple games for. Was weak.
Morey is gonna start playing money ball again and the rockets are going to spend the next 4 years making trade after trade until they get another "superstar" that will not help but fans will be sold on he's the missing piece.

Dan Fegan, the agent for Dwight Howard, denied reports that surfaced Thursday saying he was working with the Houston Rockets on a potential trade for the former All-Star center.
"I'm not privy to what the Rockets are doing or not doing with respect to Dwight Howard," Fegan told Marc Stein of ESPN.com. "What I can say, with 100 percent certainty, is that Dwight has not and has never asked the Rockets for a trade. And neither have I."
"Dan's statement is true," Howard said, per Stein. "I have not asked the Rockets to trade me. Nor have I talked about right trades. I want to win. I want this situation to work. I chose this team. And I'm not running because we have been faced with some adversity."
I don't know what Morey is doing, but Howard wants to stay. Howard is talking about keeping positive and stopping the negativity.
I believe Harden should be on the block to be traded. Who has changed more between this season and last season - Harden or Howard? You can get real value for Harden, not for Howard. Howard isn't the main problem. I have a problem with your best player having the mindset that Harden has. Last year he came out motivated. This year he returned to the norm. Harden can score in his sleep. But he doesn't motivate anyone with an attitude or action or effort.

All talk. Howard talked like he was happy in LA, Howard talked like he was happy with his coach before he got van gundy fired in Orlando. Howard talked like he was happy right up until he was traded to la.
Howard has already stated he's gonna opt out of his contract.
I agree harden is a bigger problem and more trade valuable but no way they even consider trading him. He's to valuable to their ticket sales unless they get a durant or lebron or maybe the unibrow... No not even him.
Opt out of contract at the end of the term is a different issue than what is being rumored about now. And that doesn't imply he would necessarily leave. It just means he would want another deal.

he is going to opt out and explore free agency. He may resign but just because fagen from the Houston barnacle hasn't said so doesn't mean he's not looking to get out.
The writing is on the wall, his tenure in Houston is all but over.

Agreed, never trust anything that comes out of the mouths of these people.
Well look - the money is going to be flowing starting next year, so I am sure he will try to get what he thinks he deserves.
But for now - he wants to stay - which is all I am looking at right now. Morey may have a plan to cut his losses and get something back instead of losing Howard for nothing over the summer... but Howard is not pushing for a trade right now.
What sane owner/GM would really want Dwight Howard? Sure, his stats look nice but the guy has been a colossal headache for every team that he has been on in the NBA. I am sure someone will offer him a max deal (Dallas?) but I personally wouldn't want him on my team if I were a GM or owner.

DH in the right environment could work. He's not a strong leader and likes to have a good time and be light-hearted/breezy. If he could find a team where there is strong leadership and strong players around him, it may work.
I thought he and Kobe would team well because Kobe has that, but it didn't work.
He probably will get max wherever he goes, but is he worth max, idk anymore.
