Everybody knows that offense does not win championships, defense does. The highlight reels of the best players to have ever played the game however mainly showcases offensive game winning heroics. I'm not gonna lie, I love wins and championship victories like any other guy. However, I love watching amazing offensive performances. For this reason I always love rooting for younger players such as Kevin Durant who come straight into the league and have to carry revamped rebuilding franchises. It makes those wins that much more special..
My Main favorite offensive performance was Michael Jordan's 63 points against the celtics in TRIPLE OVERTIME!! Even though they ended up losing that game, Larry Bird said that "He is God in Basketball Shoes".
As far as favorite NBA shot....Michael Jordan's jump shot against the Utah Jazz from the 1998 NBA Finals that sealed his 2nd 3peat
What I wouldn't give to have seen these 2 go at it...too bad Kobe couldn't go to a laker team without Shaq..He would have averaged 40 points a game. He was already putting up 20-25 points just by playing 15 to 20 minutes at age 19.
