I am not much of a worry wart. Life is great and I live it fully. Concern would be a better word.

But I didn't worry enough to get up on the roof and shovel.

I don't blame you. Between the weight of the snow and the potential for ice dam damage there was plenty to be worried about! Now that the snow is nearly gone it looks like most in this area dodged the ice dam bullet and I didn't hear of any roofs caving in.

It's not wise to get up on the roof. It's best to use a snow rake...

That is how I clear snow when its required. Although I hate doing it. Takes all day and is back breaking work.

It's 20 feet to the roof on three sides of the house.

As much as I like snow I'm happy this storm hit as rain in Bend. Between the plows and shoveling from last weeks storm I didn't have room for any more snow.
