When I moved here from Colorado I left my 11hp snowblower with the new owners. I had shoveled about half of my driveway here today when a nice neighbor came by and finished up with his snowblower, then did everyone's driveways on the cul de sac and the sidewalks. Another couple guys were running their snowmobiles up and down the block.

I was quite envious of the snowblowers I saw up and down the street today. But I think these were pros hired for the job.

Good to see reports of deep accumulations of snow with high moisture content. Like BendLocal said, better get it cleared! Waiting until after the rain begins would be a huge mistake!

Hope there are a couple more storms down there like this one before "spring" arrives. I hope we get some moisture as well, there have been red flag warnings the past couple days, and in 38 winters here I cannot recall ever seeing that before in early February, or any winter month for that matter.

I am really, really hoping we don't get freezing rain. I am unable to clear my own driveway and my husband works 12 hour shifts, so have to wait until he gets home tonight to shovel again. Stupid back injury!

My neighbor's were kind enough to start digging out our truck since the 4WD decided to go kaput just in time for this big storm. It's stuck on the side of the street right now. Hopefully we can get it back in the driveway tonight.

Snow is much heavier this morning and covered with a light coating of ice. Trees dumping bombs of wet heavy stuff making a mess of my nice shoveling job. Grumble, grumble.

I don't mind shoveling a short driveway, although my back made the recommendation that I don't do it all at once. My old driveway was 150' long and steep, so I figured the new owner needed the sno-be-gone machine more than I would. This is a screen grab this morning from a webcam I have on the roof.

My brother threw a track on his snow-blower with 50 feet of circular driveway to go, over at Sun River, but we are not doing any better here. I had to dig 2 feet of snow off the car to get in the trunk ....
