Looking for pet boarding big island (Hilo, Keaau: home, tenants, safe)

Getting closer to our move and looking for pet boarding options.
Term would be 1 week to possible 4 weeks.
Have old shepherd half blind missing half his teeth, but still thinks hes a puppy.
Also 1 indoor cat both nuetered ,up on all shots and id chiped.

They don't need anything fancy just safe and attended until get our home settled.

They don't advertise it, but they also have dog and cat grooming (optional) so your animal will look and smell great when you pick it up.

Which side of the island? Bar-King is in Puna, I think.

Headed Hilo side but would not be problem anywhere on island, being its only temp boarding.

Bar-King would probably be close enough, then, if not the closest. Most of the veterinary offices have boarding, too, although they may have smaller spaces for them. Bar-King has been around for decades and I think they are approved for quarantine boarding, if that should be required. If you will need that level of boarding, though, it would be best to check with them for details.

There is Alpha K-9 on the Hamakua coast, they have secure and pretty big spaces for their tenants, although it's pretty noisy, but I suspect that will be typical of a boarding kennel. I dunno if Alpha K-9 boards cats, though.

Yep, Bar-King is in Puna District about 16 miles south of Hilo Airport... basically 9 miles south on Highway 11 to Keaau, then 7 miles toward Pahoa on Highway 130, then a couple of blocks off the highway. Been around forever, seems o be well regarded.
