I had a Chick Fil A in Denver when I lived there, and loved their sandwiches and carrot raisin salad. I live in SE Boise. Is Chick Fil A being built in downtown? Thanks.

The locations I've heard about are the old Perkins at Broadway and Front, the old Iceberg on Milwaukee near the mall, and in the new shopping development at Eagle and Fairview. I don't know any dates but I think the plan is that they would open this year.

I didn't realize there were more than one planned, that's great. It gives me greater flexibility since I am looking for a new apartment away from quiet SE Boise.

There is currently a scaled down version of this fast food place in the SUB at BSU.

that's good to know, Syringa. What does scaled down mean? Does it not have a full menu? I have never been to BSU even though I live only a few miles from it. Maybe I will ride my bike there, and look around. What does the SUB mean? I have never had their chicken sandwich, I always get the chicken salad sandwich on toasted sliced bread, and a side of carrot-raisin salad. I used to live in Denver, which is where I became familiar with Chick-Fil-A. Thanks.

The one at BSU is in the Student Union Building at the intersection of the Lincoln and University on the BSU campus. It is a Chick-Fil-A Express and they have the basic sandwiches, nuggets, salads, and fries. I'm not sure they have what you're used to ordering or not.

They do not have the chicken salad sandwich. It's just an express place with the basic fried chicken sandwiches, nuggets and waffle fries. My husband eats there for lunch sometimes. We are looking forward to the full Chick-Fil-A restaurants opening.

See, this is why Chicago drove me nuts when I lived there....I appreciate people that have a little more "small town common sense".

No one screaming about banning them and not allowing them into town because of their founders beliefs.

Just "they are opening" and if people want to they can go and if not then that is fine too.

People should be allowed to choose for themselves without having blowhard politicians deciding whom is acceptable to do business in a town.

We have plenty of blowhard politicians, they just happen to side with Chik-Fil-A's beliefs...vodka and women's rights are another story.
