Our's doesn't indicate anything at all. I looked through the site and couldn't find anything about a maximum number of holds.

Anyway, I finished up Dangerous Doses, which was very interesting (and alarming) about counterfeit prescription drugs. FINALLY starting Soul of an Octopus, which I got my book club to read for this upcoming meeting.

Our book club also did Soul - very interesting book. It actually takes all kinds!

Maximum holds @ our library seems to be 5 - you can't put on more than that.

Gah! I actually mis-typed. I meant to say "renewals," not holds themselves. I think we can have an unlimited number of holds -- when they actually come through, you have about four days to get them, and if you don't come pick them up they go back or to the next person on the list.

I don't see anything on our library's site about a maximum number for either.

I loved Soul, amazing creatures! Don't know if I'll ever be able to eat octopus again.

Yah, we get 1 renewal, assuming that no one else has the item on hold. If they do, it can't be renewed. No 3rd renewal.

I'm reading the Mueller report again. It's so detailed and complex it will take a couple of reads and a yellow highlighter to absorb it all. Everyone should read it.

I'm not finding it scary (not too much), but I just can't get into it. I don't really like or dislike any of the characters, so I don't care what happens.

Ha! I was not a lover of Beartown. The hockey does fade a little as the story picks up, but then I found myself unsatisfied with the story so there wasn't much left for me.

Yes, so far a gripping story - or an interlocking set of stories. Plus lots of information on bees, of course. Maybe they invented twerking?
