I'm absorbed in "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens. It's a captivating blend of mystery, romance, and coming-of-age set against the backdrop of the marshes of North Carolina.

yes, I read that and loved it so much, but I had the hard cover and at about the end of the book, I read a page that I had felt i had read before, and sure enough, there were 4 pages towards the end that were repeated. for example page 396 397 398 399, were where page 410 412 413 would have of been, obviously it was a misprint. lol

So, they didn't make any more hardcovers and had to get a paperback to read what was missing as it was crucial to the ending.

Currently, I'm engrossed in "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern. It's a mesmerizing tale filled with enchanting imagery and intricate storytelling. The way Morgenstern weaves together magic and mystery keeps me turning the pages late into the night.

And if you're still searching for your next read, let me suggest diving into https://bookwormera.com/emily-henry-books/ . Her writing style is incredibly engaging, and her stories are brimming with warmth, humor, and heartfelt moments that linger long after you finish the last page.

I wasn't impressed.
I'm only half way through, but it's nowhere near as riveting as The Firm was. Grisham has become an inconsistent writer, IMO.

Never Give an Inch.. (Mike Pompeo. 2022)

Political autobiography, from a former secretary of state. Pompeo talks (in general terms) about his philosophy of public service, and time in government.

Just finished Educated by Tara Westover. It was good but the violence in her family upset me. I just wanted to shake her and tell her “leave.your.family.dammit.”

The Measure by Nikki Erlick. Very good, especially for a book club discussion.

Set in current times, everyone in the world who's over 22 gets a box delivered to their doorstep on the morning of March 1, with their name on it. Inside, is a string. The length of the string turns out to be a measure of the length of their life.

REALLY interesting premise, for a first novel.
