Transhumanism is a horror - Joe Allen's new Dark Aeon shows us the ugly future awaiting:

Quote:
“Joe Allen’s Dark Aeon is the first comprehensive critical analysis of the planned post-human future. It will give you great clarity (as well as nightmares). Allen has long been our most thoughtful authority of this ill-understood catastrophe and no one who wants humanity to survive should ignore his warnings here."
—Naomi Wolf, bestselling author of The Beauty Myth and The Bodies of Others

In Decades of Decadence, Marco Rubio exposes the elites’ attacks on the four key elements of American strength: good local jobs, stable families, geographical communities, and a sovereign nation that serves as a beacon of freedom and prosperity. These have been eroded not only by globalization, but by the lies we tell ourselves, including, “Anyone who loves each other is a family,” “Real community can be found on the internet,” and “We’re all citizens of the world.”

No Trade is Free

Quote:
America is the first country in history to fund the rise of its rivals. We need to stop now, before it’s too late. One of the most consequential U.S. Trade Representatives in our history, Robert Lighthizer led a great reset of American trade policy that has endured across Administrations.

You need to add some diversity to your reading before you become radicalized. I suggest The Last Days of Hitler by Hugh Trevor-Roper.

No thanks, my non-fiction tastes run toward philosophy & religion, not so much history or politics.

Though Chambers Witness was splendid blend of personal history, tragedy and conversion from communism.

On Patriotism & Prejudice:

Quote:
Word is going around that Wendell Berry’s The Need to Be Whole: Patriotism and the History of Prejudice has caused something of a scandal. And we can easily understand the dismay: In his latest study of land, culture, and society, Mr. Berry not only argues against pulling down Confederate monuments, but even suggests that some of the Confederates had redeeming qualities. This is hardly a fashionable thesis in the Year of Our Lord 2023, nor is it what we would expect from a writer who received the National Humanities Medal from Barack Obama

I just finished up Newman, His Secret Life Exposed by Darwin Potter.

I never gave much credence to those calling themselves Bisexuals, because I thought it was a cover-up, but reading this book I do now there are True Blue Bisexuals. Paul Newman proved it to me. Other True Blue Bisexuals were also featured: Brando, Brandon De Mille, James Dean, Tony Perkins, Sal Mineo.

His wife, Joanne, must have known about his sexual conquests, but she was determined to marry him one day, and she bore him 3 daughters. With his first wife: 2 daughters, one son.

This book would never have seen the light of day if he were still alive, and it was printed shortly after his death in 2008.

In the 50's, it was not unusual for a leading actress to interview a potential actor to star with in one of her films. And the interview oftentimes included sex. Joan Crawford fooled him 2X as she had no intention of starring with him in a movie.

I'm planning to order more of Darwin Potter's books on Ebay.

I am listening to The Story of Human Language, part of The Geat Courses, written and read by John McWhorter, of whom I am a fan.

Fascinating stuff for anyone interested in linguistics. Mc Whorter's humor adds to to the experience.

Such an important book deserves another mention:

“The darkness that is enveloping the world is driven and defended by an ideology. It posits that life will be made better by an embrace of the destruction of humanity as we know it. This ideology—transhumanism—is better understood and explained by Joe Allen than any other intellectual currently at work. Dark Aeon is a thorough explication of the crisis before us, and a must read by anyone who cares about their country and humanity.”
