Since I travel quite a bit in my job, I like the alert but often it's false alarm.

Yes, it's often an obvious police position or false alarm. However Waze has saved me several tickets and points on my license. The police feature is invaluable to me.

That means you don't know how to drive.

Relying on the police feature in Waze means I drive too fast. Guilty

Your post however, means you're most likely a d-bag.

Or I'm just a little more careful.

1A doesn't go to Rte. 1, you would have to take 1A to Rte. 60 to Rte. 1.

And someone not familiar with the area could easily get lost trying to do this.

IMO going through the tunnel to 93 is probably a safer route for someone from out of town.

You're right. I missed Rt. 60.

I understand it could be hard for someone unfamiliar but if they use WAZE or another GPS, they should be fine. Using the tunnel to 93 if fine if they are willing to pay the exorbitant fees that rental company will charge them to use EZ Pass.

I also recommend the 1A->60-Rt1N - 95N route.

It's really not that bad in terms of navigating since they all flow into each other. Any basic GPS app (like Waze) can easily get someone through it.

Only watchout is from 3:30-6PM that route can be a parking lot, especially Rt1.

Rt1 has a lot of places to stop and eat. When my and friends spent a weekend in Maine, I usually pick up from logan, and then we grab a bit to eat on Rt 1 in the Saugus/Lynnfield area before hopping on 95 for our 2 hour trip North.

Depends on traffic at that moment of the day. I don't think a visitor would regret a small amount of added confusion if it means avoiding an additional 45 minutes stuck in traffic. Of course both routes can be problematic, but that is where Waze comes into play!
